I went to the Sorabol at the mall, which isn’t the best Korean food in the world, but certainly less oily than the other alternatives… I gotta settle somewhere.

I got pretty pumped when one of my favourites to make myself, kimchee rice, was on the menu, and I split it as well as a beef soup with noodles with the boyfriend. I was a little disappointed because the kimchee rice didn’t taste very kimchee-y at all, in fact, my boyfriend and I decided they probably just put some hot sauce in it. =| Oh well, at least it looks yummy in photos.

The beef soup was a bit better, although I wasn’t a huge fan of the noodles they put at the bottom.

Another pretty funny story that happened with this escapade, I did a terrible job of snapping my chopsticks in half, so my boyfriend went to get another pair for me. Thinking he’d do a better job breaking the chopsticks, he ended up with the exact same final result as I did, leading to me eating like this:

I felt like I was eating with a pair of oars. ;A;

Today, after a recommendation from my boyfriend, I went to a nearby mall and tried out Roti Buns. They were friggen AMAZING. For those of you who don’t know, it is a soft bread bun filled with either custard, cream cheese, or chocolate butter, that is covered with a mocha cookie shell. It is absolutely delicious!

My only reservation was that it tasted like it had been in the oven for a bit too long, since it had a kind of burnt bitter aftertaste, although it was very slight. I definitely want to try it again! The yogurt chip cream cheese bun was a bit too cream cheese-y for my liking, so next time I want to try the plain one!

Two of my favourite snacks by far that I’ve had over the years. Caplico (not to be confused with the drink Calpico) is shaped like an ice-cream cone and comes in the classic Neapolitan flavours. So delicious! The deluxe strawberry Pocky is especially adorable and girly because the actual sticks are heart-shaped! They also taste much better than the regular strawberry Pocky flavour.

Nothing beats picking up some new drinks and snacks to try out. The salted caramel Pocky isn’t mine, so I can’t vouch for it, but the coffee drink was really good, although I felt it was a bit watered down… I may also be super spoiled by Thai Iced Coffee though.
Sorry for the over-editing, I wanted to give this a try, since I use it on the iPhone.

I tried my hand at making Okonomiyaki recently! It was one of my favourite dishes when I first tried it at a restaurant in San Francisco, and now I’m so glad I can make it myself~ It’s a Japanese-style pancake made with flour and cabbage, along with a few more delicious add-ins. Pork strips is added to the top of the pancake and finished with a yummy fruity sauce, mayonnaise, and powdered seaweed~

It’s so hard making good omurice with a tiny little pan like mine. =( I ended up failing terribly because there was too much rice for how large the pan is, but oh well, it still looked (somewhat) cute in the end. I want to make it more often, sooo yumyum and easy to cook!

One thing I always love about carnivals: Candied apples. They’re the most delicious things ever. The best part about them is that even after you eat all the candied part off, you don’t feel sad because you get to enjoy the tart taste of the Granny apple left behind. Yum~ ♥

I made a yum-yum heart-shaped “egg in a basket” for my boyfriend and I this morning. It was super good, although I wish I added some sort of flavoring to the egg before cooking it completely, it was a bit bland.

Krispy Kreme Holiday Donuts: etoile-et-toile

Please leave the above credit in the description if you chose to erase everything else upon reposting.

I love the seasonal donuts that Krispy Kreme puts out around now~ Not to mention hot-and-fresh original glazed is a GODSEND. ♥ The red velvet donuts had a super cake-y texture that I didn’t like since I expected a donut, but I’m sure other people would enjoy it. =)
